eGradebook was specifically designed to allow each student to see his or her grade report only after authenticating to the system using the x.500 userID and password combination.
Also, each student sees only his/her information and cannot see information for other individuals.
Students access the eGradebook using this link: http://www.d.umn.edu/egradebook - which is the same link used by every user of this system. The program will present the appropriate view to each user depending upon their status in each gradebook.
The initial student view will list all of the classes for which they are registered for this term. Those classes that have active eGradebooks will appear as a link. If a class does not have an active eGradebook, there is a note after the name of the class to check with the instructor.
The instructor for the class can see each student's report from the Reports page by clicking on the "View" link next to each student's name. This lets instructor see EXACTLY what the student will see when he/she accesses the grade report for the class.
Remember that the student view options are controlled in the student view section of Configure. See the Help section on student display options in Configure for details.
