Usability Evaluation Toolbox.
There are generally three types of usability
evaluation methods:
- Inquiry.
- Inspection.
- Testing.
- Not every comprehensive usability plan implements every tool. Use only the ones you think you really need.
- The tools themselves are only part of the overall plan.
- Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval is needed for most if not all of these methods. If you plan on using any of the usability methods presented here please contact the IRB to be sure that you follow proper procedures.
