UMD FTP Settings January 2005

The changes to the ftp path of the UMD web server will not affect ~ accounts (e.g., http://www.d.umn.edu/~breeves). The information on this page is for accounts in the main UMD web tree (e.g., http://www.d.umn.edu/itss/).

Starting January 5, 2005, the UMD web server's ftp path is changing from some of the common paths we used before. Below are examples of old and new paths for the ITSS portion of the UMD site.

Old

  1. /umdweb/pub/www/itss/
  2. /umdweb/pub/httpd/htdocs/itss/
  3. /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/itss/

Please note that number 3 above will continue to work on the new server. If you have either number 1 or number 2 in your current path of Dreamweaver or any ftp program (e.g., WS_FTP or Fetch, etc.), you will need to change to 1 of the 2 below.

New

  1. /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/itss/
  2. /web/itss/
