Adding or Updating a Course Message
You can include a message to students for each webdrop folder. This message appears to students when they access the webdrop folder for each course.
The message may contain HTML formatting tags, but you cannot include URLs in the message. Messages are limited to 256 characters.
To create or update a course message:
- If you have not done so already, access the webdrop program at: https://webdrop.d.umn.edu. You will need to authenticate using your x.500 username and password
- Click the link "Update your course messages"
- Choose the appropriate course by clicking the radio button to the left of the course
- Click the "Open Course Folder" button
- Type your message in the text box. You may use HTML tags to format
the message and include URLs
- Click the "Submit" button
- You will see a preview of your message. If it is correct, click the "Submit" button. If you need to make a change, click your browser's "back" button and start the process again from step 3 above
