Delete A Student File

You can remove a student's file from the system without affecting the rest of the files stored in your webdrop folder.

Note: this removes the file from the system and cannot be undone! TA's must have been granted permission to delete files by the faculty member as part of adding a TA to the webdrop course folder.

To remove a single file:

  1. If you have not done so already, access the webdrop program at: https://webdrop.d.umn.edu. You will need to authenticate using your x.500 username and password
  2. Click the link "Manage Available course folders"
  3. Choose the appropriate course by clicking the radio button to the left of the course identifier
  4. Click the "Open Course Folder" button
  5. Choose the option " Remove Individual Student Files" by clicking the radio button to its left
  6. Click the "Submit" button
  7. From the drop fown list, choose the appropriate student's user ID
  8. Click the "Submit Option" button
  9. Choose the file to delete by clicking the radio button to the left of its name
  10. Click the "Submit Option" button
  11. You will receive a confirmation message
  12. If you want to remove another file, click the link "Remove another file?"
