Drop Graded Documents

If you want to annotate files students have submitted and leave them for the student to retrieve, you can use the webdrop folder for this purpose as well.

Important: the file you drop for the student to pick up MUST have the same name as the original file.

To drop a graded document into a webdrop folder:

  1. If you have not done so already, access the webdrop program at: https://webdrop.d.umn.edu. You will need to authenticate using your x.500 username and password
  2. Click the link "Manage Available course folders"
  3. Choose the appropriate course by clicking the radio button to the left of the course identifier
  4. Click the "Open Course Folder"
  5. Choose the option "Drop Graded Documents into Folder" by clicking the radio button to the left of the option
  6. Click the "Submit" button
  7. Select the student who originally submitted the assignment by clicking the check box to the left of his or her username
  8. Use the "Browse..." button to browse for the file on your computer
  9. Navigate to the file, select it, and click "Open" or "Ok" (the exact name of the button varies depending upon the type of computer you use)
  10. The file name will appear in the text field.
  11. Click the "Send File" button
  12. You will see a confirmation message if the process worked correctly
