Sawmill - Web Log Analyzer
Sawmill is a universal log file analysis and report tool. ITSS has configured Sawmill to analyze and report on our UMD web server logs. Individual departments or colleges can request a Sawmill profile to focus on the web activity (number of hits, visitor demographics, visitor systems, etc.) for their site.
Sawmill features includes:
- Report drill down (Zoom Filters)
- Clickstream Web Visitor Reports
- User Management Editor for admin and report user access
- Report Filter Editor (Output Filters) to filter the report being displayed without changing the database
- Report Editor for modifying the reports and the report menu allowing creation and editing of the reports - the graphs, tables and report menu navigation
- DNS resolution for log data IP addresses
Rates
We offer two levels of Sawmill service:
Level 1: Continual license
We create a permanent profile for you, run the initial Sawmill processing, and provide you with login access to the data. At any time, you can create specialized reports based on date ranges, web page criteria, visitors, etc.
- $75 - One-time license fee
- $20 - One-time set up fee (1/2 hour of ITSS staff time)
- $15 per month for server access (recurring)
Level 2: One-time snapshot
We create a temporary profile for you, run the initial Sawmill processing, and provide you with a snapshot of the data you request for a specific time period.
- $100 - One time license and set up fee.
