Cultivating Compassion: Empathy, Leadership, and Social Change is designed to further UMD’s goal to create a positive and inclusive campus climate for all by advancing equity, diversity, and social justice.
The conference will feature a series of lectures, discussions, workshops, and performances related to empathy. Theoretical and hands-on approaches will be discussed, with topics ranging from the nature of empathy, to integrating empathy skills in life contexts, to practical applications of empathy in the classroom. Come join in this valuable conversation. We all play a vital role in promoting a culture of empathy.
