About kirby leadership institute

The Kirby Leadership Institute provides leadership training to help you, the undergraduate student, develop strategies and skills for a successful college experience, and for your future. Any student may take the three new leadership courses offered through The College of Liberal Arts for academic credit, and any of the emerging leaders workshops offered each semester in Kirby Student Center. We encourage all students to consider registering for the UMD Leadership Certificate program.

We will help you develop your leadership skills, theoretical knowledge and experience, and give you the opportunity to hone those skills through a community internship.

If you complete the UMD Certificate Program, you will have a beautiful leadership resume and certificate to document your success. We believe that students who participate in this program will have a distinct advantage in the increasingly competitive job market. Go for it!
