Academic Planning

Academic planning is developmental in that you may need more guidance as a freshman than you will as a senior, but ultimately you choose the path you will take. An outcome of this process is a quarterly or annual schedule of classes, but this schedule should not be viewed as the plan itself. Another measure of competence in academic planning is when you are able to help your peers develop academic plans.

A good academic plan evolves from self-assessment, investigation of the world of work, and knowledge of the educational programs that link your strengths and assets to careers in the workplace. You can develop yourself by working through LOON (Learning Opportunities on the Net) in the Student Handbook.
