The UMD Academic Profile will be most helpful for you as an Academic Planning resource during your first year at UMD.
Your Academic Profile was generated and provided to you and an Orientation Faculty Adviser on the day you attended UMD Freshman Orientation. It is a valuable advising tool and helped your Orientation Adviser plan a schedule for your first term at UMD. T he Academic Profile provides information about your high school academic performance and your ACT scores. It reported whether or not you met the UMD preparation standards and, if you hadn't, which classes you needed to meet the standards.
The Academic Profile also provided information about placing you into the proper level of class for you freshman year and offered recommendations for classes to help you succeed academically, such as a study strategies course.
Your adviser likely still has your Academic Profile in your advising folder, so you could obtain a copy from him or her if you can't find the copy you received at orientation.
