Unacceptable

  • Substantial time is spent on activities not related to job.
  • Does not establish priorities.
  • Individual priorities do not support Library priorities.
  • Ineffective time management affects other staff members' ability to do their jobs.
  • Consistently misses deadlines.
  • Lack of organization of individual work area leads to inefficiencies.
  • Incorporates unnecessary complications into tasks.
Needs Improvement
  • Often misses deadlines.
  • Occasionally requires supervisory intervention to ensure time is used appropriately.
  • Occasionally puts individual priorities ahead of Library priorities.
Meets Expectations
  • Usually identifies priorities and spends time and effort appropriately.
  • Normally recognizes priority conflicts and consults with supervisor or team members.
  • Typically provides supervisor or team members with progress reports on major projects.
  • Routinely manages time to meet deadlines.
  • Usually on time for Library meetings.
  • Normally prepared to participate in Library meetings.
Exceeds Expectations
  • Customarily keeps supervisor or team members apprised of possible factors that may prevent timely completion of key activities.
  • Streamlines tasks within their authority.
  • Suggests modifications of procedures to increase efficiencies.
  • Uses most appropriate form of communication to speed up completion of tasks.
Achieves Excellence
  • With great consistency:
    -On time for Library meetings.
    -Prepared for Library meetings.
    -Identifies priorities and spends time and effort appropriately.
    -Keeps supervisor apprised of possible factors that may prevent timely completion of key activities.
    -Provides supervisor with progress reports on major projects.
    -Recognizes priority conflicts and consults with supervisor.
    -Efforts to improve efficiency incorporate an awareness of impacts on others.
