William Paul, 1965

This translation is unusual in that it was done by a dealer in Bibles, a non-linguist, who worked from English translations and Greek dictionaries and commentaries to puzzle out for himself a satisfactory way of expressing in English what he felt the Greek really meant. The result is very interesting and expressive.
