Bestsellers 
Our bestseller collection contains popular fiction and nonfiction from current bestseller lists. This collection can be searched separately.
Books 
Our collection of printed books contains approximately 230,000 volumes. This collection can be searched separately.
Center for Economic Development
The Center for Economic Development in downtown Duluth has a library for small business entrepreneurs. This collection can be searched separately.
Children's Literature

Our children's literature collection includes fiction and nonfiction books for preschool to age 13, including Caldecott and Newbery honor and medal books. This collection can be searched separately.
DVD/Video 
Our DVD and videocassette collection contains a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction titles. This collection can be searched separately.
E-Books
Our eBooks (Electronic Books) are books that are available full-text/full-content online via the web to UMD students, faculty and staff. Our eBook collection can be searched separately from the rest of the catalog, using information about each eBook.
Government Documents
We are a Federal Depository Library that collects print and electronic federal and state documents.
Microform Collection
Our microform collection includes microfilm, microfiche, and cartridges containing newspapers, magazines, journals, and documents. This collection can be searched separately.
Music Recordings 
We have music on CD, cassette, and phonograph records. This collection can be searched separately.
Natural Resources Library at the Natural Resources Research Institute (NRRI)
The NRRI Library provides information services to those in need of research materials or information related to natural resources.
Northeast Minnesota Historical Center (NMHC)
The Northeast Minnesota Historical Center is a service-oriented archive containing local history resources on Duluth and St. Louis, Lake, Cook and Carlton counties.

Ramseyer-Northern Bible Society Museum Collection
The Bible Bollection includes over 1800 bibles and other scriptural works representing 410 languages.
Reference Collection 
Our reference collection is made up of print and electronic reference books for finding specific information or gaining background knowledge. This collection can be searched separately.
Special Collections
Special Collections include UMD Library materials that require special care or protection due to their age, condition, unusual format, or special subject matter. This collection can be searched separately.
Teaching Materials 
Our teaching materials collection contains materials for teachers from preschool through high school. This collection can be searched separately.
Tweed Museum Library
The Tweed Museum of Art has a library for use within the museum. This collection can be searched separately.
Voyageur Collection
The Voyageur Collection consists of books, periodicals, pamphlets, manuscripts, and maps related to the history of this region, including Canada and the Arctic. This collection can be searched separately.
