ABSTRACT SUMMARY OF COLLECTION

The American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers (AIME), Minnesota Section, was established in 1921. Anyone belonging to AIME (state or national) and residing or doing business in Minnesota is eligible for membership. They hold their annual meetings in conjunction with the annual University of Minnesota Mining Symposium each January in the city of Duluth. Their objectives are to promote the engineering profession and provide a pleasant opportunity for engineers in the many different fields to meet and share their ideas.

The collection is arranged chronologically. It consists of correspondence; Board of Director’s minutes; By-Laws; Committee Reports, minutes and correspondence; annual volumes compiled by the Archives Committee which contain correspondence, minutes, printed material and reports; national membership lists; and film strip
