Where to go if you want to browse...

Browsing the library's stacks can be a great way to make discoveries in your areas of interest.

Information Design as taught at UMD is strongly interdisciplinary; therefore, relevant books are going to be found in different areas of the library.

The books in the UMD library are all shelved according to the Library of Congress Classification System, which is based on the alphabet.  Call numbers that begin with A through H are found on the third floor, and call numbers beginning J through Z are on the fourth floor.
