Artslynx International Dance Resources
A good directory of websites relating to dance.
New York Public Library Dance Collection
Search the NYPL dance collection, which is the most extensive collection of materials and recordings on dance. These items are often available through interlibrary loan, especially if requested by faculty.

Tons of great information about fashion and costume - the largest and most comprehensive site on the subject.

Where to go in the library if you want to browse
The books in the UMD library are all shelved according to the Library of Congress Classification System.
Here is an outline of the locations for books that may be useful in studying theatre and dance:
In this system, most of the books on theatre are shelved between PN1600 and PN4400, all on the fourth floor. Books on dance are shelved between GV1590 and GV1799, on the third floor. Other areas of the classification have other subjects that are useful for theatre.
D-DZ, E-EZ, F-FZ: History.
GT500-2730: Costume, dress and fashion.
GV 1590-GV 1600: General works on dance.
GV 1601-GV 1728: Dance history.
GV1729-GV 1799: Folk dances, social dancing, theatrical dance (e.g. modern, ballet), "special" dances, and children's dance.
GV1781-GV1795: Theatrical dance (e.g. modern, ballet, jazz, etc.)
