RefWorks Import Directions
Academic OneFile (Gale)
- Do search, and mark citations. A citation can be marked at the list level in the box on the left side. Within the citation, click the box to the left of "Mark" above the full citation.
- Click on Marked Items at top of page.
- Click on Download.
- Under Download, select Plain text with bibliographic tags (Z39.80), and click on Download.
- In the File Download box, click on Save (IE) or Save to Disk (Mozilla Firefox). Save to the Desktop or folder of your choice.
- In Refworks, under References, click on Import.
- At "Import Filter/Data Source," select GALE InfoTrac Web.
- At "Database," select GALE InfoTrac.
- At "Import Data from the following Text File," use Browse to locate the saved file and click on Open.
- Click on Import.
- In RefWorks, click on View Last Imported Folder to see citations added.
- Check to make sure information is in correct field. If CY year DB Academic OneFile shows in Periodical, Full field, delete the CY year DB Academic OneFile from the field.
