RefWorks Import Directions

Criminal Justice Abstracts (CSA)

  1. Do search, and mark citations. A citation can be marked at the list level in the box on the left side. Within the citation, check Mark This Record at the top of the citation.
  2. Click on Save, Print, Email.
  3. Click on Export to RefWorks. RefWorks should open in a new window.
  4. In RefWorks, click on View Last Imported Folder to see citations added.

Alternative Method:

  1. Follow the instructions on the screen, if this didn't work. Check your popup blockers. If it still does not work, do the following:
  2. If the RefWorks page does not open, then save your file and import it into RefWorks. Click on "Save, Print, Email."
  3. Under Save, choose "PC" or "Macintosh" file format. Click on Save.
  4. In the File Download box, click on Save As (IE) or Save Page as (Mozilla Firefox). Save to the desktop or folder of your choice.
  5. In RefWorks, under References, click on Import.
  6. At "Import Filter/Data Source," select CSA (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts).
  7. At "Database," select Physical Education Index. At "Import Data from the following Text File," use Browse to locate the saved file and click Open.
  8. Click on Import.
  9. Cilck on View Last Imported Folder to see the citations added.
