Subscribe to our RSS Feeds
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. With RSS feeds, people can
receive the latest news or content
changes without having to regularly visit the site to check for updates. Many
web browsers now include automatic checking for RSS feeds when you visit a website,
and display an icon when they find one. This can make subscribing to RSS feeds
much simpler. ![]()
Where can I find a news reader?
There are quite a few RSS feed readers out there, and many are free. If you use Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Thunderbird, you already have a news reader since these have readers built in. Web-based readers usually ask you to register, then all you need to do is simply cut and paste the URL of the RSS feed into an "Add subscription" or "Add Feed / RSS by URL" box to start viewing the content. Here are some RSS aggregators:
- Mozilla Firefox (set up RSS in Firefox)
- Mozilla Thunderbird (set up RSS in Thunderbird)
- Internet Explorer 7 (set up RSS in IE7)
- Google Reader
- My Yahoo!
- AmphetaDesk for Mac, Windows, and Linux
- Bloglines is web-based
- Newsgator is web-based
