Microfilm Scanning

Microfilm scanner with vertical monitor for easy newspaper viewing

Microfilm is a strip of film containing miniaturized newspapers, books, or documents. Microfiche is similar, but instead of reels of film, this is a small rectangle film. Microfilm and microfiche can be viewed and scanned at the microfilm scanner station on the third floor of the library. Once captured as an image, it can be saved to flash drive, emailed as an attachment, or printed in the library.

Instructions for the microfilm scanner are posted next to the microfilm computer.
