Wireless Networking in the UMD Library
Wireless networking is now available throughout the UMD Library, including the Library Annex. These connections are authenticated (you will need to log in). The strongest signals are in near the second and fourth floor rotundas and the first and third floor reading rooms. Signal strength is often weaker in areas with book stacks.
For information on wireless authentication and troubleshooting see Wireless Computing at UMD. Short-term community (guest) users with laptops can use UMD's Wireless-Guest-Access most places on campus. This is web-only, and excludes UMD email, VPN, FTP, and the authenticated databases via the Library.
To connect to a printer from your laptop, find a lab consultant in L118 or at the third floor help desk to get set up, or see this page.
