| "We did analysis, we wrote reports, we made recommendations and presentations based on our analysis, and that's exactly what I'm doing today. The work we did there was real, and I know it gave me at least a year's head start in my career".

Candidacy Application Instructions

Candidacy Application - (click here for application form)
Your application is an important part of your progress in fulfilling degree requirements and for the monitoring that we do of your eligibility for upper-division LSBE classes. Please follow the instructions below and return the form to SBE 21, the Student Affairs office.
- Complete the information on the application to candidacy form, except for the area which says "for office use only."
- Please list your intended major (item #5). If you have not made a definite selection of major, please list which area(s) you are most seriously considering. This helps us assign you the best advisor and helps simplify our paperwork so you can get efficient service. If you should happen to add another LSBE major or change your major, please let us know.
- While minors are not required for the BBA or BAcc degrees, many students choose to complete one. If you are selecting a minor, or a second major outside of LSBE, please work with the department or college that offers it. When you are accepted to the minor, please let us know so we can enter the information and ensure you receive credit for the minor (or second major) on your transcript.
- Again, return your application to candidacy to Student Affairs, SBE 21. We will then remove the candidacy hold. Questions about requirements are always welcome, as are advising appointments. Our goal is to assist you in making good progress toward completion of your degree.
Important : Admission to candidacy occurs during the term you are registered for your last lower division courses, and meet the GPA criteria for candidacy status. The Admission to Candidacy, not the application, gives you access to upper division LSBE courses.
