Finance & Management Information Sciences

Chair's Welcome

Welcome! The Finance and MIS Department is glad you've taken time to learn more about us and what we offer.

FMIS is home to two majors with the Bachelor of Business Administration degree - Finance and Management Information Sciences.

The Finance major prepares students for careers in investments, banking, or corporate settings. One of the largest majors in the school, finance attracts students who want to put their quantitative skills to work in a fast-paced sector of business. The addition of the Financial Markets Program in 2002 added a new dimension to our offerings, one that allows students to manage a substantial portfolio of investments from business donors.

The MIS major is a multi-disciplinary program that emphasizes the study of systems development methodology and technology for our rapidly changing society. The goal is to develop project leaders and information resource managers who can address organizational needs with technical solutions.

FMIS blends energy and experience to create exciting learning opportunities for our students. Please see Department Happenings webpage

To learn more about majors in Finance or MIS, contact me or any of the full-time faculty members listed on the Faculty and Staff page. Better yet, stop by for a visit. Georgina will be at the front desk to welcome you.
