GMAT

Applicants who have not already earned a graduate degree, passed the CPA exam, or completed the GRE exam for another program, should complete the GMAT rather than the GRE prior to applying for admission to the MBA program. Generally, GMAT (or GRE) scores are considered to be valid for a period of only 5 years after completion of the test. The GMAT measures general verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing skills that are developed over a long period of time. It is designed to help graduate schools of business assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management.

Starting in fall 1997, the GMAT was converted to a computer-adaptive test, which means those completing it must do so using a computer at designated test centers. Additional information about the GMAT is available at any of the following website URLs (which were accessible when last checked):

Information and directions for registering to take the GMAT are provided at the first website (GMAC/GMAT) listed above. In Duluth, the GMAT can be completed at the 4815 West Arrowhead Road, North Shore Bank Place, Suite 100, Hermantown, MN 55811. To get additional information about scheduling a test time and/or to actually schedule a test time at the Duluth center, you can call 218-279-3084. To ensure that scores arrive by application deadlines, the GMAT should be scheduled and completed at least two weeks prior to the deadline dates.
