History:

Darland Administration Building was originally called the Administration Building, and was renamed in 1982 after Dr. Raymond Winston Darland (1911-1987) who helped develop the campus from a small college to a University Center, and who lead in building a superb physical plant for UMD. He also strongly promoted UMD's interests. The building was built in 1970-71 for $2.6 million.
