Credits: 4

Prerequisites: Math ACT 22 or higher or a grade of at least C- in Math 1005 or dept consent

Grading: A-F only

Liberal Education Category:
This course satisfies Category Two—Math, Logic and Critical Thinking. This course introduces students to mathematical topics essential for their functioning in contemporary society, with its ever-increasing demands on its members for understanding and interpreting technical information. The course includes the analysis of graphical data, comprehension of functional relationships, growth rates, and their applications. Furthermore, the course is designed to improve those algebraic and computational skills necessary for the study of Calculus.

Course Description:
This course introduces the concepts of inequalities, analytical geometry, relations, functions, and graphs. It includes exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions along with complex numbers. It also covers De Moivre's Theorem, conic sections, sequences and series, systems of linear equations and matrices.
