The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has two student clubs: the Math Club, and the Actuary Club. Both clubs are student-run with a faculty advisor, and both are involved in a combination of social, service, and discipline-related activities. Students compete nationally in the Putnam Exam and the Mathematical Contest in Modeling.
The Math Club meets weekly to solve problems from math magazines such as Math Horizons. The Actuary Club provides materials and support for studying for the Actuarial Exams. For more information on specific activities, see the links above.
