1. Know the basic definitions, notations, and theorems of mathematics/statistics


2. Be able to apply statistical and mathematical techniquies and models to solve problems

3. Know how to write programming code and use mathematical/statistical software to analyze data and interpret results

4. Be able to write a coherent description of a mathematical or statistical presentation

5. Be able to critically assess and explain mathematical/statistical arguments, both inside and outside of the classroom
