Toxicology, being a multidisciplinary science, encompasses a broad range of specialty areas, each of fundamental importance to a comprehensive assessment of the adverse effects of toxic substances on living organisms. Faculty from numerous disciplines on both the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses of the University of Minnesota provide students with a broad range of opportunities for selecting a mentor and area of specialization for their dissertation research. Expert training is provided in the various aspects of the science, ranging from environmental and agrochemical to biomedical and diagnostic toxicology.
