MEHS faculty member receives Minnesota’s top honor for safety professionals

Harvey Burski, an adjunct associate professor in the Master of Environmental Health and Safety (MEHS) program, has received the 2012 Arthur E. McCauley, Jr. Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Award.  Mr. Burski received the award, which is the highest honor that a safety professional can receive in the State of Minnesota, during the Governor’s Safety Award Luncheon at the Minnesota Safety Council Conference on May 10, 2012.

The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, in cooperation with the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Council, awards the McCauley to honor an individual who has demonstrated high ideals, personal character, and safety and health competence and who has gone beyond the ordinary call of duty in carrying out projects or efforts focused on improving the quality of safety and health in Minnesota workplaces.
