Who We AreThe Asian Pacific American Student Association (APAA) consists of UMD students, who volunteer their time to create and promote Asian culture and traditions in order to increase UMD's diversity education and awareness. APAA has helped steadily increase the diversity among the student population throughout the years, as well as increasing the total number of Asian graduates. By getting our members involved in UMD and with the Duluth/Superior community, outcomes like our Annual Culture show are possible. We feel as though we've helped open doors for future generations of Asian students to come and feel welcomed at UMD. We believe that the efforts we make through our cultural events and programs have broadened the mainstream student's understanding of cultures outside of their own. APAA is open to all students, staff, faculty and the greater community of Duluth and Superior. All of the events, activities and meeting schedules are posted for anyone who is interested in being a part of our association.
