Providing a Family-Friendly Space
UMD offers a private home-like atmosphere for nursing mothers in a program run by the Women's Resource & Action Center in the Multicultural Center. The Nursing Parents Room is located in the Multicultural Center and is open when school is in session Monday - Friday from 8 am - 8 pm and on the weekends from 12 noon - 4 pm. Those interested can stop by the Women's Resource & Action Center (KSC 266) to sign up for a time slot which will be posted on the door of the Nursing Parents Room. There is a key for the room located at the front desk of the Multicultural Center. Parents simply ask for the key when they arrive. A sheet with the time slots on it is also kept at the front desk.
