Meet the WRAC Interns

Heather

Hi! This is my third year at UMD and I am very excited to be working at the WRAC. I am double
majoring in psychology and women’s studies and minoring in coaching (I’d like to coach track and field).
I’m not quite sure what I want to do with all that, but hopefully my internship here will give me a better
idea. Thanks for checking out our website and I hope you’ll stop by the office and say hi.

Maggie

Hi! I am a graduate student with the department of Social Work and am excited about meeting and
serving students on campus. I come from a small country called Belize and enjoy learning about other
cultures and serving people on a whole. I am hoping that this internship with the center will enrich my
life and the life of others. Feel free to come visit and chat about the services available to all students.

I stumbled upon WRAC as I was looking for a women’s organization to donate the proceeds from a
concert/poetry reading I was organizing. Interning here is an interesting experience for me - I have been
able to use many of the aspects of my personality here thus far: My love of learning, meeting and working with
different kinds of people and even my creative tendencies (I got to paint the table in the office). It is going
to be a good year. Stop by and visit!
