Once the Application for Use Form is submitted, the technical coordinator will make an estimate of the costs involved with the event, including facility rental, equipment rental, materials used, labor and administrative costs. A copy of the estimate is sent to the contact person for the event listed on the form. After the event, the technical coordinator will determine the actual costs and have the executive secretary, Char Paulson, I. V. the CUFS account listed. All Other Groups:
Once the form is completed you will be contacted by the MPAC coordinator to discuss specific requirements for your event. A cost estimate will then be prepared and sent for approval. Off campus groups will be required to sign a lease contract and show proof of insurance. Rental Policies: All NonSponsored groups are required to carry $1,000,000.00 in liability insurance. Temporary event policies may be purchased through the University. See the Rates and Fees Schedule for prices. Use of the Marshall Center requires one technical staff person to be on-site anytime users are in the building. While tables and chairs are often available in the Marshall Center, arrangements need to be made with Facilities Management to guarantee the number, size and type of tables and chairs required for events. Facilites Management tends to store a podium on the premises. Audio/visual equipment should be arranged with A/V Equipment Loan which is located in Kirby 175 and can be reached at 726-6222. Special arrangements should be made with the technical coordinator if any support spaces, such as the box office, make-up room, or dressing rooms, are required. |
