UMD Seventh Annual "Nightwalk for Campus Safety" Set for October 28

Members of the public are invited to join UMD faculty, staff, and students in the seventh annual "UMD Nightwalk for Campus Safety" on Thursday, October 28 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. . The purpose of "Nightwalk" is for participants to walk together, covering all outside and some inside areas of campus noting possible safety improvements that could be made.

Following the walk, participants will complete recommendation sheets listing any areas of possible safety improvement that are noticed while on the walk. The recommendation sheets will then be used by UMD Finance and Operations, and the UMD Safety, Health and Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee to make plans for campus improvements.

Participants will meet at the Information Desk of the UMD Kirby Student Center at 6 p.m.. All walkers are asked to bring a flashlight and to wear appropriate clothing.
