Dr. Gary M. Peterson Named Director of Health Services at University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD)

Dr. Gary M. Peterson has been named Director of Health Services at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), it was announced by Bruce Gildseth, Vice Chancellor for Academic Support and Student Life.

Dr. Peterson was chief of staff at St. Luke's Hospital, medical director of Hospice Duluth at St Luke's Hospital, and a physician at Skyline Family Medical Center. He is a graduate of the UMD School of Medicine and the University of Minnesota School of Medicine.

He is an assistant clinical professor at the UMD School of Medicine.

He will begin his duties at UMD on August 15.

UMD Health Services provides assistance to UMD students in the form of medical services, counseling and educational outreach programs.
