"Tuning the Hall" Story Created by Minnesota Public Radio
Selected for Voice of America's "Our World" Program
Duluth based Minnesota Public Radio Reporter Bob Kelleher's feature story
on the new UMD Weber Music Hall, will be carried world-wide by stations of
the Voice of America, on the program "Our World."
The Voice of America's English Language Service carries the program "Our
World" on Saturdays, hosted by Rob Sivac. According to the VOA, "Our
World" examines a broad range of current issues in science, technology,
agriculture, and the natural environment. VOA's Rob Sivak presents a lively
mix of features, interviews, and discussions that will deepen our understanding
of ourselves and the world we live in.
The UMD Weber Music Hall story will also be translated into other languages
for broadcast on other VOA language stations through-out the world.
Kelleher's story on the Weber Music Hall featured the "Tuning of the
Hall" with acoustician Russell Cooper. The story aired on Minnesota Public
Radio's News and Music stations Thursday, October 24th.
The Voice Of America's feature on UMD's new Weber Music Hall is expected
to air no sooner than Saturday, November 16th.
