UMD Urban and Regional Studies Program Presents First in Series of Noon "Brown Bag Lectures"

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Urban and Regional Studies Program and the UMD Center for Community and Regional Research will present the first in a series of fall semester "brown bag lectures" on September 17.

In his speech, titled "Northeastern Minnesota's Regional Economic Profile: Design, Prospects, and Possibilities," Moore will cover issues such as:

  • What does our current "profile" look like?
  • How does location affect economic development and why?
  • What is possible in our region and what isn't?
  • How common-sensical are economist's methods and results?

The lecture is the first in a year-long series of noon "brown bags" co-sponsored by the UMD Urban and Regional Studies Program and the UMD Center for Community and Regional Research.
