The volunteers will "fetch and tote" helping with moving chores and providing information on student clubs and activities.

UMD Bulldog Welcome Week then officially begins Friday morning, September 4.

Required for all Freshman with new transfer students invited to participate, UMD Bulldog Welcome Week will offer four full days packed with information, activities and fun all aimed at preparing new students for their transition to the college and the community. • explore the city of Duluth
  • get connected to UMD

"We know that certain experiences at the beginning of a student's freshman year can have a tremendous impact on that student's transition from high school to college," said Jeni Eltink, Program Director for the UMD First Year Experience Program. "UMD Bulldog Welcome Week will help all freshmen learn the basics of college success. The program focuses on academic achievement, student-to-student connections, connection to campus and community, and students' role in their own success."
