UMD Music Student Receives Prestigious Schubert Club Award

UMD's Sarah Knott is one of the 20 students who received an award for her musical talent and scholarship money in the annual Schubert Club Bruce P. Carlson Student Scholarship Competition.

Knott is also one of five scholarship winners who recorded winning performances in MPR's Maud Moon Weyerhauser Studio. Her performance of "O mio Fernando" from Donizetti's La Favorita will be broadcast on MPR between 10am and 1 pm on Wednesday, April 18. Knott is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota Duluth and is studying voice with Elias Mokole.

The annual concert of award winners takes place Friday, April 20, 2012 at Sundin Hall at Hamline University in St. Paul.
