UMD CED's Northeast Minnesota Small Business Development Center presented 'Excellence in Partnering' award by the IRS
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recognized the Northeast Minnesota Small Business Development Center (SBDC), part of UMD's Center for Economic Development, on May 23, for its extraordinary contributions made in the delivery of IRS products, services and education to Small Business/Self-Employed customers.
The IRS selected the Northeast Minnesota SBDC for an "Excellence in Partnering" award, given in recognition of the SBDC's partnership with the IRS, Small Business/ Self-Employed Division, to educate and serve America's taxpayers.
"The Internal Revenue Service is honored to recognize your team for their hard work and dedication to America's taxpayers and we thank you for choosing to be an integral part of our outreach effort," wrote Karen Brehmer, IRS stakeholder liaison, in a letter to UMD CED Director Elaine Hansen. "Because of loyal partners like you, millions of taxpayers have the IRS information they need to meet their tax responsibilities."
