Your financial need is determined with the following formula, after you have filed the FAFSA:

COA - EFC = Financial Need

Cost of Attendance (COA) - The institution you attend determines the cost of attendance.

Expected Family Contribution (EFC) -The information you release on your FAFSA determines your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The primary responsibility for paying for school rests with the family.
