Ride the DTA
Riding the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) buses is a great alternative, since parking at UMD is limited for both on-campus residents and commuters. The DTA serves the UMD campus and surrounding areas. Students, faculty, and staff who present their U-Card can ride the DTA buses for free anywhere and anytime the buses run. Bus schedules and other information can be found online at: http://www.duluthtransit.com.
If you do not absolutely need a car, we encourage you to not bring one to campus. Why bother with parking hassles, tickets, and the scraping of ice and snow when you can ride the DTA for free?
