Disability Parking
There are handicap
parking spaces throughout campus. Check out the parking
map for locations.
Effective August 1, 2009
Disability parking is allowed for up to three (3) hours at a space with a blue handicap parking sign
and at all meters for those displaying a disability license plate OR a (temporary) disability permit.
University employees requiring disability parking during their work hours must contact Parking Services
for assignment in a parking lot you select near your work site. Cost for this permit will be at the rate
of the lot selected.
UMD Students needing disability parking for longer that 3 hours, please come to the Parking Service office.
University employees/students needing a short-term UMD only disability permit for up to two (2) weeks
should contact Parking Services for assistance.

On-campus Housing residents requiring a disability parking permit on an academic-year basis must contact the Housing Office at 103 Lake Superior Hall for a permit and specific parking lot with a space assignment. Cost for this will be at the resident parking permit rate.
