CRIME ALERT

August 29, 2012

TO: UMD Campus Community

On August 29, 2012, UMD Police received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on campus in a non-Housing facility. The actual incident was reported to have occurred on August 16, 2012. The victim in this case is a non-student. The suspect is unknown to the victim and has not been identified or apprehended. He is described as a white male in his early 50s, 5’11”/195 lbs., with white hair and close-cropped beard.

UMD Police encourages our campus community members to conduct strategies of personal safety. Be aware of your personal surroundings at all times and report criminal and/or suspicious activity immediately by calling 911.
