Up to 10 instructors will participate in the six week Precambrian field camp. The diverse staff includes UMD faculty, field geologists from Minnesota Geological Survey and the Natural Resources Research Institute, and several faculty from other geology departments. All have considerable field experience in various aspects of bedrock and surficial mapping, mineral prospecting, and field acquisition of geophysical data in Precambrian terranes of the Lake Superior region and elsewhere. Three staff (Hudak, Miller, and Peterson) will be involved in all six weeks of the camp, while other staff will be involved in projects that focus on their specialties. Some background information on each of the Precambrian field camp staff are given in the table below.
