Gp at EVTAC Precambrian Research Center
Professional Workshops
Nose to OC

The PRC’s goal of providing advanced training to professional geologists, as well as to students, will be achieved by sponsoring a biannual series of workshops and field experiences on various topics related to field studies of the Precambrian geology of the southern Canadian Shield.  The workshops will be taught by some of the most pre-eminent geoscientists in the field. In addition, specialized geological mapping experiences for groups of industry geologists and/or geological staff of individual companies can be arranged.  The PRC will work closely with the University of Minnesota to ensure that these courses meet continuing professional development requirements (credits, hours) of geological licensing boards.

Registration for the workshops will typically range from 20 to 30 participants and is open to professional geologists, academic faculty, and graduate students. However, many of these slots will be reserved for companies and individuals who are PRC members.
