If you have attended another U of M Campus (U of M Twin Cities, U of M Crookston, U of M Morris, U of M Rochester) before

and are interested in enrolling in the Online Psychology Program you need to follow the below steps.

NOTE: The Online Psychology Program ONLY begins during FALL semesters. Therefore, you are only eligible for admission during the fall semester.

Step 1:

Verify you are eligible and meet the admission requirements

Note: After submitting your materials and transcripts eligibility will be verified

To be eligible for the Online Psychology Program you need to meet the following requirements:

 Have a minimum 2.5 GPA

 Have completed your Associate of Arts Degree, Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, or the UMD Liberal Education Requirements.

 Have met the High School Preparation Admission Requirements

 MATHEMATICS - Three years consisting of two years of algebra, one of which must be intermediate or advanced algebra, and one year of geometry.

 WORLD LANGUAGE - Two years of a single second language.


Step 2:

Complete the Change of College form

Complete the CHANGE OF COLLEGE FORM to change your home campus from U of M Twin Cities, U of M Rochester, U of M Morris, or U of M Crookston TO UMD.


Step 3:


Submit paperwork to the UMD Office of Admissions for processing

You need to submit:

(1)    Completed Change of College Form

(2)    Request that ALL official transcripts from previously attended institutions outside of the U of M System (even if no credit was given) be mailed to the UMD Office of Admissions. Address: UMD Office of Admissions 25 Solon Campus Center, 1117 University Drive, Duluth, Mn 55812.

  For example, if you took a course at a community college in high school or over the summer we would need that transcript sent to the UMD Office of Admissions.

Step 4:

Admissions will review your record and transcripts for eligibility

You will be notified via mail, to the address listed on your Change of College Form, of the admission decision. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing.
