1960

Leta (Powell) Drake, Lincoln, Neb., is retired and was recently inducted into the Nebraska Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

1969

Colonel Kenneth B. Faulhaber, Liberty, Mo., has retired from the United States Air Force.

1970

George F. Wolff, MA ’82, Littleton, Colo., is a safety management consultant and trainer at Rule Engineering, LLC. He was selected as the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers Safety Professional of the Year in 2008 and 2009.

1971

DyAnn K. (Kauppila) Andybur, Duluth, Minn., is the city of Duluth’s new energy coordinator within the department of public administration.

Keith A. Loveland, Edina, Minn., is the founder of Loveland Consulting. He was recently honored by the Financial Planning Association with a 2010 Heart of Financial Planning Award.

1974

Orazio R. Barresi, Houston, Texas, is a principle consultant at Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants.

1975

Rick M. Francisco, Duluth, Minn., works for the Xerox Foundation.

1976

Scott E. Fisher and Marjorie J. (Barnes) Fisher currently live in Duluth, Minn. Scott recently accepted a job as an investment and financial advisor representative for AdvisorNet Financial/ Network Investment Corporation.


Patrick M. Johns, Duluth, Minn., was named the new president of Lake Superior College in April after 20 years as president of Anoka-Ramsey Community College in the Twin Cities.

1977

Larry R. Frank, Rocklin, Calif., works as owner and wealth mentor of Better Financial Education.  His third research paper was recently published in the national Journal of Financial Planning (June 2010). Also, his fourth research paper, “Sequence Risk: Managing Retiree Exposure to Sequence Risk through Probability of Failure Based Decision Rules” was accepted for presentation (Oct. 2010) at the Academy of Financial Services.

1979

Patty L. Tolo, Minneapolis, Minn., recently accepted a position with The ALS Association, Minnesota Chapter, as the vice president of development.

1983

Sheila K. Somin, St. Paul, Minn., is a spiritual care professional and counselor at the Hazelden treatment center.

1985

Kyle H. Krohn, Minnetonka, Minn., is a supervisor in photo equipment sales at West Photo in Minneapolis.

1987

Scott “Skeeter” R. Moore, Duluth, Minn., had his hockey number retired by the Elitserien, the Swedish Elite League, on Dec. 6, 2010. Moore played professional hockey with the Elitserien for ten years, after graduating from UMD.
Todd J. Toner, Edina, Minn., is an account manager of sales and marketing at Network Instruments.

1988

Richard G. Coan, Northfield, Minn., is working as a principal software engineer for Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems.


Heidi M. Dahlstrom, Cloquet, Minn., is a bilingual flight attendant at Delta Airlines.


Michael W. Glaccumis is stationed in London where he serves as a Lieutenant Colonel and pilot for the United States Air Force.

1992

Kristin K. Maypole, Ferndale, Wash., works as a mission support specialist for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Border Patrol.


Brian Rauvola, Duluth, Minn., recently started his own business, The Duluth Photography Institute.

1993

Mark A. Kronforstand and his wife, Jean, live in Rockville, Md., with their two children (Jaina and Drew). Mark is the associate director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Corporation Finance.


Larry J. Robillard, Fairborn, Ohio, is a contract negotiator for the U.S. Air Force.

1994

Jon P. Dilley, Lakeville, Minn., works in sales at Medtronic.

1995

Susan M. (Schultz) Anderson, Minneapolis, Minn., works as a program budget director and analyst for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. Her first child, Joseph Brian, was born in July, 2009.


Katherine A. (Newton) LaClair, and her spouse, Michael, have recently moved to Paducah, Ky.


Cameron R. Seybolt, Wayzata, Minn., works as a lawyer for the Fredrickson & Byron law firm and has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

1997

Brenda M. (Nelson) Podratz, Lino Lakes, Minn., is a benefits and compensation manager for Sebesta Blomberg & Associates, Inc.

1998

Jingsu Pu, and his wife, Dongbing, live in Millwood, N.Y.  Their son, Ethan, was born on July 18 and was welcomed to the family by his 5-year-old-brother, Henry. Jingsu recently joined MetLife as Vice President and Portfolio Manager.

1999

Thomas L. Karki, Robbinsdale, Minn., and his wife, Christine, starred in the off-Broadway musical, Evil Dead, at the Minneapolis Musical Theatre in downtown Minneapolis from October 22 to November 7.


John J. Meyer, Kelly, Wyo., is a biological technician for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.


Gina R. Sobania, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., is an academic credit coordinator for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.

2000

Jonathan M. Chaffee, Roseville, Minn., was recently hired by Alliance Bank as Assistant Vice President of Small Business Lending.

2001

Amy L. (Kitchell) Degerstrom recently rejoined the UMD family in a dual appointment as art history instructor and tour manager/volunteer coordinator at Glensheen estate. She lives in Duluth, Minn., with her husband, Sean.


Marni D. Hogen, Minneapolis, Minn., is an operating group safety director at the Mortenson Construction Company.


Tara (Eades) Petreikis, and her husband, Chris, live in Eagle River, Minn., with their two children (Nicholas and Emma Grace). Tara is a middle school teacher for the Phelps School District.


Lacy J. Shelby, Astoria, N.Y., is a public space planner and city landscape architect for the New York City Department of Transportation.

2002

John F. Bennett, Duluth, Minn., works as an extension educator in community economics for the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Community Vitality. John was recently named one of Duluth News Tribune’s “20 under 40”.


Megan E. (Meade) Gladen, Eagan, Minn., is a family medicine physician for Allina Medical Clinic.


Trina M. (Nelson) Lassi and Joshua Lassi ’04 live in River Falls, Wis. Trina is a cardiology technician at the St. Paul Heart Clinic.


Nathan R. (Nate) Sandman
and his wife Nicole L. (Horning) Sandman currently live in Cloquet, Minn. Nathan works as a lead health educator for Fond du Lac Reservation Enterprises and was recently named one of Duluth News Tribune’s “20 under 40”.

Troy A. Gengler, Milwaukee, Wis., is a graphic coordinator for Midland Packaging and Display.


Stacy J. Yadlosky, Woodbury, Minn., works in technology sales as the key account manager at Quest.

2004

Kristin E. Kjolsing, Minneapolis, Minn., is a first grade teacher and reading specialist at the Twin Cities International Elementary School.


Laurelyn E. (Keener) Turbes, Duluth, Minn., is a veterinarian associate for Richard Bowman, DVM.

2005

Ryan S. Purdy, Clovis, Calif., is an assistant college swimming coach at California State University, Fresno.

2006

Ryan A. Rentner, Minneapolis, Minn., is a cost accountant at Valspar.

2007

Erin L. Champlin, Austin, Minn., is a graduate student at University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse.


Courtney M. Dahl, recently moved to St. Paul, Minn., and is currently working as a participant engagement associate in fundraising for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota Chapter.


Douglas K. Johnston, Eagle Pass, Texas, is a border patrol agent for the United States Border Patrol.


Sarah J. Krenik, MA ’09, Mankato, Minn., is a speech-language pathologist at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Clinic in the Mayo Health System.


Bridget M. (Peterson) Tiesling, Woodbury, Minn., is a speech language pathologist at Aegis Therapies.

2008

Jessica M. Dornfield, Hugo, Minn., is a small business associate at Bouley, Heutmaker, Zibell & Co. Professional Limited Liability Partnership.

2009

Jen E. Oss, Bloomington, Minn., is an associate fundraising and logistics manager at the American Diabetes Association.

2010

Stacy N. A. Carolan, Rochester, N.Y., is a grad student at the Eastman School of Music.


Marcia J. (Leddy) Gaetz, St. Joseph, Minn., is a speech-language clinician and pathologist for the Monticello Public Schools.


Ellen E. Johnson, New Haven, Conn., is a clinical social work fellow at the Yale Child Study Center, where she began a year-long clinical social work fellowship in July with the School of Medicine at Yale University.


Garrett P. McConnach of Minnetonka, Minn., and Katrice (Tubbs) McConnach of Menomonie, Wis., were married on July 16. Garrett is a senior associate of government bond payments at the Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets.


Scarlett E. Rusch, Alexandria, Minn., is a lab technician at SunOpta.
